He arrived in temp of 100 outside and worked tirelessly for nearly 2 hours, but when he was done, door is quiet as could be and he was so polite and knowledgeable. Good and bad. A spring on my overhead garage door opener broke. The old service place was long gone so I called these guys. First I had to listen to a recording saying they recorded all their messages--three times before I was put through to a scheduler. I asked for a next day appointment and they were able to make that happen. The tech called that morning and asked if he could come an hour earlier than the scheduled time, that was fine for me. Richard was an excellent technician, he was fast and efficient. First thing was a 15 minute safety review and a lot of notations on an IPad. Sounds good, but basically it is an opportunity to up-sell the customer with extra repairs they may not need. When I told him what repairs I needed and that was all, he did not press me. I decided before he even arrived to replace both springs because they were getting old and if one broke the other may break soon. When I received the bill I noticed a ten dollar fuel charge, for a local service call. No, that is like asking for a tip at a self service kiosk, just another charge . The bill was almost $500 for two springs, and a small pulley plus an hour's labor. Ten years ago I would have ordered them online and installed then myself.

Richard Clemente was great! My spring broke late afternoon, I got an appointment for that evening. Rich went over the points on the door mechanism. He replaced all the hardware, added an additional spring (I have a double door), and showed me where to lubricate the door.

So yesterday my wife was closing the garage door in our barn and the top section of the door came off the track, and knocked her to the floor where she than hit her head on the cement floor. Fortunately she is ok. I called Precision Garage Door this mourning and they showed up within the hour. the technician, Richard Clemente explained what he recommended to be done and showed us the problem.
